After Sean took pictures with celebs like Brad & Angelina outside the Governor’s Ball, she was arrested as she tried to get into the event and had a scuffle with a security guard. Now the actress has demanded an apology from the Academy!
ACTRESS SEAN YOUNG IS SPEAKING OUT ABOUT WHAT WENT DOWN OUTSIDE AN OSCAR AFTER-PARTY SUNDAY NIGHT, AND SHE’S DEMANDING AN APOLOGY!
BEFORE ALL THE DRAMA, SEAN SNAPPED THESE PICS OF HERSELF WITH A BUNCH OF CELEBS OUTSIDE THE ACADEMY AWARDS…
THE ACTRESS WAS EVEN LUCKY ENOUGH TO SNAG BRAD AND ANGELINA, JONAH HILL AND MICHELLE WILLIAMS, SANDRA BULLOCK, NICK NOLTE AND GLEN CLOSE!
BUT WHEN SEAN TRIED TO GET INSIDE THE GOVERNOR’S BALL THE ACADEMY’S OFFICIAL AFTER PARTY, A SECURITY GUARD WOULDN’T LET HER IN BECAUSE SHE DIDN’T HAVE AN INVITE. AND THEN, SHE ALLEGEDLY SLAPPED HIM.
TMZ REPORTED THAT HE MADE A QUOTE, CITIZEN’S ARREST, AND SEAN WAS TAKEN TO A HOLLYWOOD POLICE STATION AND BOOKED FOR INVESTIGATION OF MISDEMEANOR BATTERY… AFTER SHE WAS RELEASED, SHE GIVE HER SIDE OF THE STORY ON FACEBOOK.
THE ACTRESS, WHO ONCE STARRED ON “CELEBRITY REHAB,” WROTE,
“I just want everyone to know that I was sober, extremely well behaved when a very stupid security guard went postal on me and then The Academy’s very stupid lawyer recommended a ‘private person’s arrest’ and I have grounds for a lawsuit against the Academy although I believe a public apology to me would be much better. I am OK and I have the Hollywood Police Stations support who very carefully and kindly photographed the bruises on my arms which this guard is responsible for doing.”
THEN ON MONDAY SHE TOLD PEOPLE.COM, “I was just standing by the little line [outside the Governors Ball]. I wasn’t bothering anybody…They said, ‘No, you have to leave,’…I started to leave and [the guard] grabbed my arm and he started pulling me. And I turned around and I was pulling my arm away — and I struck him…They need to make a public apology on behalf of their security guard.”
BUT THE ACADEMY DIDN’T APOLOGIZE. IT ONLY RELEASED A BRIEF STATEMENT SAYING, “There was an incident with Ms. Young outside the Academy’s Governors Ball. It was not the Academy who pressed charges.”
