The US Department of Agriculture says 22 states have been affected by the Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea virus (PEDv), with California and Wyoming being the most recent states reporting pig farms hit by the virus. Symptoms of the virus – which only affects baby pigs – include diarrhea, vomiting and severe dehydration.
